Weed is generally a plant considered undesirable in a particular situation due to its ag- gressive growth pattern which inhibits growth of the target crop.

Soyabean and Groundnut are target of various weeds namely: Cyperus difformis, Echi- nochloa colonum, E.crusgalli, Euphorbia hirta, Croton sperrsifeorus, Digera arvensis, Com- melina benghalensis, Cyperus difformis, Trianthema portulacasturm, Commelina benghalen- sis, Eragrostis pilosa, etc.

Imiza Smith is early post-emergence herbicide. Its active ingredient inhibits Photosynthe- sis in the target herb reducing its chances of survival next to zero. It is highly recommend- ed for control of selective broad-leaved, sedges and grassy weeds in Soybean and Groundnut.

Mode of Action

Imiza Smith is a chemical from Imidazolinone group of herbicides which has both contact and residual action i.e. it is retained by weed plant and inhibits its growth for a long period of time. Upon spray, it is absorbed by the roots as well foliage. Its translocation action helps it reach xylem and phloem where it gets accumulated in the meristematic regions of the plant. This region is responsible for its cell division and growth. By inhibiting Photosynthesis pro- cess in growth regions of the plant, it quickly stagnates its development and ultimately kills the weed plant altogether.

When weeds are in 1-2 leaf stage or 7-14 days after sowing.

Method of Application

- To be applied in early post emergence i.e. 2-3 leaf stages of weed.
- Add recommended quantity (refer leaflet) of Mirza Solution with water. - Dilute the same with Mirza Spreader (supplied with the packaging).
- Mix it well by continuous steering and spray.
- Foliar spray is recommended for best results.
- Spray uniformly over the entire field without overlapping.

- Avoid contact of the concentrated product with skin.
- Wear protective clothing, gloves, face shield while spraying. - Avoid spray mist working.
- Do not eat, drink or smoke while working.
- Wash hands and exposed skin before meal & after work.
