Weed are known for providing hosts and vectors for plant pathogens, giving them greater opportunity to infect and degrade the quality of the desired crop.

Rice plant in particular has to compete with many weed. They can seriously impact the yield of the crop by creating competition for the resources that a rice plant typically needs, namely: direct sunlight, soil nutrients, water, and (to an extent) space for growth.

Prithvi Super is a pre emergence selective herbicide for transplanted rice. Due to its sensi- tivity towards rice plant, it is very safe for the crop. It helps control grasses, broad leaf weeds and sedges. Due to its EW formulation, there is no photo-toxicity to plant.

Mode of Action

Selective herbicide belonging to Chloroacetamide group of herbicides.
It spreads easily on plant surface post application. The Chloroacetamide group helps it inhibit the growth of the weed and reduces the process of cell division. Therefore, disrupting the germination of weeds via seeds in the transplanted area. Lack of cell division checks the growth of the plant ultimately killing it.
The reduced stress on rice plant actually makes it greener.

Recommendation:

Easily dissolvable in water with great spreading capability. Transplanted Rice: 0-3 days after transplantation
Dosage: 600-750ml per acre in 200ltr water.
Donot flood the field up to 24 hours after application.

Method of Application

- Application is recommended 0-3 days after transplantation.
- Use of foliar spray by using Knapsack Sprayers fitted with Flat Fan or Flood Jet Type of Nozzle is recommended.
- Take small amount of water & add required quantity of Blaze Super.
- Stir the solution well with a stick or rod.
- Add this solution with the remaining quantity of water and stir well.
- Spray uniformly.
- Avoid flooding the field up to 24 hours after application.
Note: The volume of the total water to be used will depend on total area to be treated.

Safety recommendations

- Do not spray during Foggy climate.
- Use clean water for preparing spray solution.
- Use the correct equipment for spraying.
- Wear a self-contained breathing apparatus.
- Wear protective gloves and safety goggles.
- Keep material away from foodstuffs, beverages and feed.
- Do not smoke, drink, eat and chew anything while spraying. - Take bath properly after application.
- Wash hands thoroughly after handling this product.
