Dalmatian chrysanthemum is a natural source of Pyrethrin, which is present in its seed cases. Use of pyrethrin as an insecticide dates back to as back as 1000BC. However, it de- grades unusually fast.

Pyrethroid is an organic compound similar to Pyrethrin, and is essentially chemically stabilized forms of natural pyrethrum.

Launcher 5EC is a emulsifiable concentrate formulation of third-generation pyrethroid in- secticide and acaricide with contact and stomach mode of action, providing cover for a longer period against wide variety of insects.

Mode of Action

Launcher 5EC being a pyrethroid is axonic excitotoxin. It prevents closure of sodium channels in axonal membranes, thereby causing malfunction in peripheral nerves and the central nervous system of insect pests causing nerve damage and ensuring rapid knockdown while providing cover for longer duration.

Method of Application

- Fill the spray tank 1⁄4 with water, then add the required quantity of product.
- Apply within a few hours after mixing.
- Wet the whole plant thoroughly but avoid run-off and spray drift to non-target sites.

Safety recommendations

- Do not use cooking utensils for preparing the spray solution. - Do not spray if the rains are expected.
- Do not enter the application area within 24 hrs of application. - Do not use empty packaging for any other purposes.
- Treat only when there is little or no wind.
