Weeds & herbs cause potent threat to crops. They can result in yield reduction of crop from 5 to 50%.

Rice can be impacted by various weeds such as:
Echinochloa crusgalli, Echinochloa colonum, Ischaemum rugosum, Cyperus difformis, C. iria, Fimbristylis miliacea, Eclipta alba, Ludwigia parviflora, Monochoria vaginalis, Alternanthera philoxeroides, Sphenoclea zeylenica.

Nova Gold is a new generation herbicide for Rice that helps control weeds. It can be used in both nursery and main field. It is post emergence broad spectrum herbicide i.e. it con- trols all of the above mentioned weeds/herbs with great efficiency.

Mode of Action

Selective, Broad spectrum, Systemic herbicide.
It easily degrades in plant system providing great safety to Rice crop while providing excellent control over weeds.

Recommendation:

When weeds are at 3-4 leaf stage.
Rice Nursery: 10-12 days after sowing
Transplanted Rice: 10-14 days after transplantation
Direct seeded Rice: 15-20 days after sowing
Dosage: 80-120 ml per acre depending on soil and climatic factors.

Method of Application

- Remove water from rice field.
- Mix required dosage (80-120 ml per acre) with adequate quantity of water.
- Use flat fan/ flood jet nozzle for spray and Spray uniformly over the targeted plants. - Spray mist should cover the foliar parts of weeds at application.
- Refill the field with water within 2-3 days of application
- Maintain standing water of 3-4 cm height for a minimum of 10 days.

Safety recommendations

- Do not spray if the rains are expected.
- Do not apply by sand mix technique.
- Do not spray without draining out the water from the field.
- Do not tank mix with sulphur and copper containing pesticides. - Always refer to the SDS for detailed information on safety.
